Friend of the Dojo Award

This special award is given to a person who has demonstrated, over a long period of time, their care and assistance in helping the school in various ways.

This award can be given to someone whether they are an active student or not, as long as they have shown a steadfast and long-term commitment to helping the Genbukan Daigo Dojo grow and develop.

Those selected to receive this award are invited to all dojo functions and are always welcomed at the dojo. They are also mentioned on our website and we are grateful for their help and care for the school.

Each recipient attends a special ceremony where they receive their special reward and a photo is taken to commemorate the event.

Student of the Year Award

This special award is presented annually to a student who has exemplified the following virtues:

Etiquette, Honesty, Trust, Sincerity, Self-Discipline, Martial Skill, Improvement, Compassion, Commitment, Community Involvement, and Personal Growth.

A special certificate is presented to the student in front of their peers.
