Training Fees (Please read the whole page)
AS
OF SEPTEMBER 2008:
If
you are a new student, your costs to join are as follows.
One month of
training, plus the cost of a new medium weight uniform plus tax.
ie: Child =
$60 for class, $65 for uniform, plus GST.
ie: Adult =
$100 for class, $65 for uniform, plus GST.
ie: Family
class (one parent one child) = $80, plus GST.
After your
first month is completed, we will see if you have been a good student
and if you want to continue training. You will then go onto the
regular fee schedule listed below.
All students,
no matter when they begin training within a month, will have their
fees due at the beginning of the following month.
ie: If you
begin on Feb 11th, your next fees are still due on March 1st, not
March 11th.

HOW
TO PAY FEES:
This
is a traditional Japanese Dojo and there are proper ways of paying
for training. All students must follow these rules.
1) If you are paying
for a child's training fees, you will provide 5 post-dated cheques,
payable to Daikensho Martial Arts, for the next 5 months of training.
As children's classes run from Sept 1st to June 30th of each year,
this set of post-dated cheques will usually be supplied twice each
year. The cost of Children's Classes are $ 60 per month plus tax.
2) If you are paying
for an adult's training fees, you will provide 6 post-dated
cheques, payable to Daikensho Martial Arts, for the next 6 months
of training. As adult classes run year round, this set of post-dated
cheques will usually be supplied twice each year. The cost of Adult
Classes are $ 100 per month plus tax.
3) Students will not
be allowed to train if they have not paid their fees. We will be
providing receipts to all students noting when their next fees are
due. We will also post it on our billboard in the new dojo if you
are coming up on your due date for fees.
3) Students are asked
to place their fees in a sealed envelope with the amount
written on the outside, as well as what the fees are for. Students
also are reminded to make sure they include their name on the envelope
as well as their Genbukan number if they have one.
4) A charge of $ 15
will be applied to any cheque that is refused by the bank upon deposit.
5) Students
are reminded to include GST and have the correct amount in their
envelopes.
6) If a student runs
into some sort of crisis, please talk to the teacher in a quiet
moment to see what the school can do to help.
Reminder: All
students sign a contract with the school regarding their behavior.
A student can be removed from further training at any time if the
teacher deems it necessary to do so. All training fees are forfeit
if a student is removed from classes.
