| About Kyoshi Troy Wideman
Kyoshi Troy Wideman has been training in the martial
arts for over 27 years, since the age of 6. He has studied various
martial arts including; judo, karate, kung fu, and holds various
ranks in these arts.
Kyoshi Troy Wideman is currently a member of the Tactical Rescue
Unit with a Regional Police Department. He is also a qualified Use
Of Force Instructor who trains police officers in defensive tactics,
firearms, judgement training and the use of force.
Kyoshi Troy Wideman has been training in the art of Ninpo for the
past 18 years. In March of 1994, Troy had the priviledge and honour
of meeting Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura. Upon training with Grandmaster
Tanemura, Troy was awed at the quality of Sensei's true Japanese
Martial Arts amd the strength of his spirit. He immediately asked
for the priviledge of becoming a personal student of Grandmaster
Tanemura. Troy has traveled to Japan extensively and has obtained
the rank of 6th Dan (Kyoshi) in Genbukan Ninpo and 5th Dan in Kokusai
Jujutsu.
Troy's dreams for the future are to continue to teach people the
true traditional Japanese Martial Arts that the Genbukan Dojo has
to offer and to continue his direct study under Grandmaster Tanemura.
Kyoshi Wideman is the Shibu Cho of the Canadian Genbukan.
